The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it's alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The provider level produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to permit the servicing sassa of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
